A friend of mine calls me The Memory Keeper. I was the person always carrying a camera. Taking photos of everything. Before digital cameras were common, I always had my 35mm Kodak point and shoot with me. I wanted to capture every moment possible. On some level, I understood the impermanence of it all, and taking pictures allowed me to hold on to the moments that made me feel alive.

Images have long been used to transmit emotion and make something that is intangible, tangible. Photography provides us with a way to make the fleeting seconds of life into something permanent – that allows us to look upon those moments when we wish. Photography allows us to relive what we felt, heard and touched in that moment. A memory that we are able to hold.

Like Math, Music and Love – Photography is an universal language, and each one of my photographs is a little piece of my soul.  (Selfies over the years. Oldest I’ve found so far is from 2000.)
